Our Spring Clean Up Day was a huge success with a collaboration between HJWA, Gallery 5, and VCU’s “Big Event”. We also had help from a couple of people from Food Not Bombs. Thirty five people came out on a windy spring morning to clean up the sidewalks, Abner Clay Park, and the alleys of Historic Jackson Ward, and with everyone working together, we were able to clean every single street and alley in our neighborhood! All enjoyed the lovely breakfast of homemade biscuits, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, vegetables/dip, and Cheetos (which Ajena enjoyed most of all!) What amazing teamwork!
